Located in the heart of Vancouver,
Former Design Factory is dedicated
to the making of quality, unconventional
ceramics. Former was founded as a
design and production studio where
ideas can be realized in ceramic form.
It is a blend of technique and inspiration,
with inspiration coming from natural
and cultural environments, and the
relationships between them. Modularity,
repetition, and pattern are features of
Former’s ceramic products.

Former Design Factory was
founded by Darcy Greiner,
an artist, designer, and
technician who not only
designs his own collections
but produces them at the
Former Design Factory in
Vancouver, BC. He blends
the techniques of traditional
ceramic studios and larger
scale production methods
into a process unique to
Former Design Factory
